Processing of bottom ash materials

Rosatom Smart Utilities has been dealing with the Processing of bottom ash materials (hereinafter - BAM) and the involvement of BAM processing products in the production turnover of potential consumers since 2018. Taking into account our own and foreign experience, patents, dissertations, existing processing technologies, as well as consumer requirements for products, our organization has formed the concept of BAM processing. The concept of processing consists in the separation of BAM into components that have distinctive properties relative to each other (size, shape, density, magnetic susceptibility). This concept makes it possible to produce certain types of products with stable characteristics, which plays an important role for the introduction of processed products into the consumer's production cycle and makes it possible to process up to 100% of BAM.

Currently, a modular complex for the processing of ash and slag materials has been commissioned at the ash dump of the Seversk TPP branch of Rosatom Smart Utilities with a capacity of 180 thousand tons per year.

The product line includes:

• bottom ash mixture
  

• technogenic soil – dusty sand with a low content of organic matter, non-porous

• additive for the production of karmic bricks, paving slabs, polystyrene concrete

• additive for the production of ceramic bricks, paving slabs, polystyrene concrete

The company also provides a range of services for the analysis of ash dumps, issues recommendations on equipment for the processing of bottom ash mixtures, sells patented technology for the processing of bottom ash.
